A week in the United Arab Emirates. This time we skipped Dubai and went to Abu Dhabi instead. We only had two locations we wanted to visit, the fantastic Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi and the desert. The Qasr al Sarab Resort is located two hours outside Abu Dhabi in a dream like setting in the middle of the desert. The resort itself is already a photo location, but the dunes surrounding it are of majestic beauty. It was magical to witness sunrise or sunset high up on the dunes, without a single soul around. The structures and colors of the sand is just amazing and ever changing depending of the angle of the sun. The Resort was the best accommodation we ever stayed in. Qasr al Sarab is of utter beauty, the people kind and friendly and the food was just a dream. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and we surely come back again one day. Shukran.
