Between 1989 and 2008 I was a volunteer with the Benetton / Renault F1 racing team. I was running their speed trap during the testing sessions throughout the year. First I travelled with my car to the circuits in Europe, but when testing became more and more time consuming I had to fly. In 1993 I boarded an aircraft for the first time in my life, to fly to a pre season test in Estoril Portugal. Countless more would follow in the years to come. The days on the racetracks around the world were among the happiest in my life.

Peter your pictures are truly amazing! Your pictures give a small glimpse into the another side of F1 and are very interesting to look at. Your time with Michael and Fernando and the fact that you were able to spend time with them and know them is quite remarkable. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
